Welcome to Kabul City is a documentary currently in post-production. The Vindaloo Crew traveled to Kabul, Afghanistan in October/November 2003 to examine the international reconstruction efforts and plight of the Afghan people.
The crew entered Kabul 2 years after the liberation of Afghanistan from the Taliban. During this time, the crew captured the efforts of the Afghan people to resume and rebuild their lives without the oppression of the Tailban. This documentary will enlighten those who see it as to the massive damage inflicted upon the Afghan people by the domination of the Taliban. The documentary's producers interviewed families trying to reconstruct their properties, political leaders attempting to rewrite the country's laws and constitution, as well as the Diaspora. The Diaspora are the refugees who fled Afghanistan over 30 years ago, during the time of oppresive domination and are now working to regain the dignity and stability of the lives they once led.
